LADY OF TASMANIA
Designing and building a sailboat is like telling a story! This one is about an owner who has been traveling around the world for almost 4 decades, but has regularly returned to Bréhat, which has a special place in his heart.
After having sailed on numerous occasions with his 3 sons between the Channel Islands and “Les 7 Iles”, he is now thinking about writing tomorrow’s story and dedicating much more time to sailing. “Lady Of Tasmania” is not only a Southern Seas reference, it is the marriage of a modern hull shape with a classic sail plan, a composite hull with a thick Oregon pine deck. Above all, it will have the ability to sail on the temperamental Channel sea, then later safely moor in Chaussey at low tide.
When launched, Lady Of Tasmania will be defined by these numbers: a 10 M long hull for 8 M of water line and a 2,92 M beam – A 1,90 M of draft keel down and 90 CM keel up – 3400 KG of displacement.
Juan K office in Valencia (Spain) and BeBoat yard in Arradon (France) are the craftsmen behind this story, which is just beginning its first chapter.
